Welcome

            Brief introduction

Canada has seen two million years of ice ages.  Every new ice age brought a new layer of earth and glacial rivers carved out the Don Valley.  Not many places in Canada show these glacial events better than the Don Valley.  100 years of open pit mining of the Don Valley brick works has exposed individual layers of earth that have been deposited by the glaciers.  The geological history of the Don Valley had created a perfect type of rock to make bricks.
